While working through a collection of embroidered houses and handmade moons, the idea morphed into a moon made of cheese and then naturally, a Mouse on the Moon! Duh.
-
I stitched the center of the wooden mouse (handmade by a talented couple down in Florida) in my favorite French Knots.
The cheese moon is hand sculpted, complete with craters and bumps and texture!
Then I chose a special, chunky teak bowl with really beautiful wood grain, to frame it all together.
The yummy, deep moody blue, shimmery background adds the best space-y depth to the piece. Plus, STARS!

*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
** It's best to hang your fiber art piece in a place that doesn't get direct sun and I don't recommend touching the fibers.
