Embroidered Hummingbird | Golden Chartreuse
Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!). Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.
Now I'm playing with some of their other frames - like this stunning hummingbird!
I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame. I used a golden chartreuse mix as the background for the bird and love how it makes the whole piece pop and glow.
I love how it feels bold and delicate all at the same time!

*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
** It's best to hang your fiber art piece in a place that doesn't get direct sun and I don't recommend touching the fibers.
