"I Can Feel It in my Brain" | Golden Chartreuse
As a kid, learning to ride a bike, I lacked a lot of confidence. Not necessarily skill, but confidence for sure.
My mom has always told this story and still applies it to a lot of other instances, so it is definitely one that has stuck with me throughout the years.
I was in the "training wheels phase" of bike riding and my mom noticed that I was basically riding without either of the training wheels touching the ground. She came to me and told me that I was ready to take the training wheels off...but I refused! I said that I was not ready. I continued to ride with the training wheels (although they clearly weren't being used) - I mean, who doesn't love a little comfort and safety just in case right?! Also, Mom likes to point out that she was annoyed because she knew that I was so ready and capable and yet, I refused that next step.
Fast forward a couple weeks and I go to my mom, filled with confidence, and I say "Mom. I'm ready to take the training wheels off. I CAN FEEL IT IN MY BRAIN."
You can feel it in your brain? Yup. I just know. I'm ready now. I can feel it in my brain.
From then on, I rode without training wheels.
I had to feel it myself. I had to know it. My brain had to know it.

Although I firmly believe that a lot of things we do (that I do), need to be tried whether we feel ready or not, there is something to be said for those times that you truly just FEEL IT.

This was my inspiration behind these new beautiful brain pieces.
Feeling it and going for it.
Trust yourself.
You've got this!
