Embroidered Owl in Vintage Teak Dish
Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!). Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.
Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this stunning owl!
I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a stunning, rare Teak dish with 2 different sections as the outer frame. This dish was so fun to play with and I made a shimmery, purple-y grey to really show off the special feel of the owl and make it pop!
It turned out so fun + I am in LOVE!
*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
