Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!). Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.
Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this stunning multi-tone owl!
I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a vintage bowl in a fun, chunky Teak as the outer frame. I love how the outer frame helps accent the mix of woods showcased in the owl!
