Embroidered Fish in XL Chunky Teak Bowl | Tropical

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this amazing new fish design!

I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and (added some orange stripes for extra personality!) and used a truly special, extra chunky and extra deep, teak bowl to pull it all together.  I love all the details in this piece and that larger size will really add a bold impact to wherever you choose to display it.

The yummy, deep tropical blue background adds the best bit of depth to the piece too.

*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
