Embroidered Angler Fish | Blue Stripes
Months ago, I made an embroidered Angler and it was love at first sight! I ended up keeping him for myself because I just couldn't part with him, but immediately started working on a collection of anglers to share with you.
-
I like to think of the anglers as a joyful little reminder of light, however small.
-
I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a truly special, extra chunky and extra deep, teak bowl to pull it all together. The fish frames are handmade by a couple down in Florida, they're amazing and so fun to incorporate into my work. I love all the details in this piece and believe that larger size will really add a bold impact to wherever you choose to display it.
The yummy, deep background adds the best bit of depth to the piece too.
*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
** It's best to hang your fiber art piece in a place that doesn't get direct sun and I don't recommend touching the fibers.
