Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!). Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.
Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this amazing hummingbird!
I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a stunning, vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame. And don't get me started on that golden center. It's so bold and delicious and really makes the hummingbird glow.
