Embroidered Folk Art Bird in Vintage Teak Frame | Orange + Green

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this amazing folk art bird!

I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a beautiful, chunky teak vintage bowl as the frame.  The deep periwinkle background is a color pulled from some of the tiny details inside the bird and helps tie the whole piece together.

- 6" wide (outer Teak frame)

- 2.5" deep

- fully hand stitched in my favorite French knots

- keyhole on the back allows you to hang the sculpture flush, from a single nail
