Working my way through this new adventure of embroidered make-believe bugs has been a gift and this beetle bug is no exception. The colors feel so dreamy, the faceted glass antennae are an extra touch of whimsy, the stripe of a lighter wood tone around the body and then that golden chartreuse background!
It's bold and feels hopeful and I love it for feeling that way.
I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a stunning, oversized vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame. This bowl is larger than the usual vintage bowls I work with, but felt like the extra bit of magic and space for the fun beetle to hang out in.
*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
** It's best to hang your fiber art piece in a place that doesn't get direct sun and I don't recommend touching the fibers.
