This fun armadillo is a brand new shape for me this collection and I LOVED getting to stitch it. The shape is fun and bold and feels like a burst of joy. I would definitely keep this guy if the goal wasn't to find my pieces new homes ;)
I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a chunky, oversized vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame. This bowl is larger than the usual vintage bowls I work with, but felt like the extra bit of magic and space for the fun armadillo to hang in.
I painted in the center a shimmery, calm periwinkle to really showcase the armadillo (there's little knots of periwinkle in the piece, too!) and give it lush home.
It turned out so fun + I am in LOVE!
*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
** It's best to hang your fiber art piece in a place that doesn't get direct sun and I don't recommend touching the fibers.
