Embroidered Turtle in Oversized Teak Bowl | Multi

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this amazing turtle!

I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a stunning, vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame. This bowl is larger than the usual vintage bowls I've found and felt like the extra bit of magic that this cool turtle needed to swim in.

I Painted in the center a shimmery turquoise to really showcase the turtle and give it a forever pool of tropical water to soak in.

It turned out so fun + I am in LOVE!
