Embroidered Own in Vintage Teak Oval Frame | Rainbow

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this stunning 2 tone owl!

I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a vintage Teak bowl in a fun oval shape as the outer frame. I love how the teak of the outer frame helps accent that dark face of the owl.

I painted the center in a silver to really showcase the colors stitched into the owl and to make it literally shine!
