Embroidered Hummingbird in Rare Vintage Flower Bowl

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this amazing hummingbird!

I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a truly special vintage flower bowl to pull it all together. Plus, the shimmery silver background literally glows in the light! Though there are other vintage flower bowls that I've found, this particular style in this quality has been so elusive.  I only have one set of these and am using them for only very special pieces, like this one.

- 6.25" wide (outer Teak frame)

- 2.5" deep

- fully hand stitched in my favorite French knots

- keyhole on the back allows you to hang the sculpture flush, from a single nail
