Embroidered Fish in Oversized Teak Bowl | Tropical

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this amazing fish!

I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a stunning, oversized vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame. This bowl is larger than the usual vintage bowls I work with, but felt like the extra bit of magic and space that this cool fishy needed to swim in.

I Painted in the center a very lush green/blue-ish to really showcase the fish and give it a forever pool to soak in.

It turned out so fun + I am in LOVE!

- 7.75" wide (outer Teak frame)

- fully hand stitched in my favorite French knots

- keyhole on the back allows you to hang the sculpture flush, from a single nail
