Puff Collection | Safety Deposit Box Fiber Sculpture with White Felted Wool

The Puff Collection has been an exploration into my way of framing fiber art!

The vintage safety deposit box (so there may be a few nicks or dents here and there but it truly beautiful and was rescued from an old vault in the small town where I live) spoke to me as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to try using it as a frame. All the fibers within the frame have been sourced from small businesses and put together to create a fun piece of fiber art that is fully contained!

There are handles on either end of the box - it can be hung by either side with a single, long nail OR let it sit on it's side or flat on it's back like a funky faux plant!  So many possibilities with this piece.
