Modern Embroidered Medallion in Vintage Teak Oval Frame | Silver

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

I've had this fun + wavy oval frame, handmade by the same artists, for a while - not knowing what I wanted to do with it.  Until now!

I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots in a favorite  colorway and used a stunning, vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame.  Painted silver in the center to really showcase the embroidery, but also love how the silver still shows the wood grain through!  It really feels like it glows!!

It turned out so fun + I am in LOVE.  Definitely a favorite for me.

D E T A I L S:

- 7.5" long x 5" wide (outer Teak frame)

- 2" deep

- fully hand stitched in my favorite French knots

- keyhole on the back allows you to hang the sculpture flush, from a single nail (my keyhole came out a little wonky due to the wood grain, but don't worry, the piece hangs straight!)
