All aTROUT Love | Embroidered Trout in Vintage Teak Frame
*The orbs are just reflections from a disco ball - highly recommend keeping one around your art ;) (The painted background is solid green, no polka dots - as seen in second photo)
---
This idea of the 2 different trouts coming together in one piece came to me a little bit ago and it has been so fun to work on it and see this wall sculpture come to life!
-
I like to think of these trouts (trouts? trout? you know what I'm saying!) as a joyful + powerful reminder of love.

I stitched the centers of the fish in my favorite French Knots and used a truly special, XL oval shaped, teak bowl to pull it all together and give them some good, green space to swim together. The fish frames are handmade by a couple down in Florida, they're amazing and so fun to incorporate into my work. I love all the details in this piece and believe that larger size will really add a bold impact wherever you choose to display it.
The yummy, deep green background adds the best bit of depth to the piece too.
*Teak outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
** It's best to hang your fiber art piece in a place that doesn't get direct sun and I don't recommend touching the fibers.
