XL Embroidered Fish Sculpture in Light Wood Bowl | Tropical Trio

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch.

Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like these joyful, tropical fish!

I stitched the centers in my favorite French Knots (with some fun stripes thrown in the mix!) and used light, maple wood bowl as the outer frame to tie in with the light wood details in the fish. 

I painted the interior a shimmery blue to really showcase the school of fish and give them a forever pool of blue water to soak in.

It turned out so fun + I am in LOVE!

*Wood outer frame is a used, vintage piece, which means it may have signs of wear and tear that only add to the story of the overall piece.
